Biography

Administrator, campaigner, manager, mentor - I have done all these things and more.

I can file papers, take minutes, manage budgets, supervise staff, fundraise, train, make the tea, work a photocopier...

But nothing compares to writing.  I have always written - poetry, short stories, sometimes just words strung together that stirred me in some way.  Writing is in my soul and my heart.

When I sit and try to write, when I spend ages working on a treatment or an idea, nothing really happens.  When I stop trying, when I relax and just let it happen whole stories slam into my brain and they itch and burn and pester me until I can get them typed up and printed off.

In August 2009 the opportunity to follow my dreams, came along.   It’s the most challenging and rewarding job I’ve ever done.  Everyday is a scribbling adventure.
